Hira Khan is a visual artist from Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her Bachelors in Fine Art from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in 2015. Khan’s art practice primarily comprises sculptural research which is led by experimental material.
Khan has displayed her work at various galleries and collaborated with local and international artists. She has been an artist in residence at the Hollows Artspace, New York, USA and is a member of the Mandarjazail Collective that focuses on South Asian art and activism through research and publications. Her recent works have been showcased at the Denkraum Deutschland: Pinakothek der Moderne, Glockenbach Biennale and Galerie Stoerpunkt in Munich. She served as a faculty member at the Department of Fine Art of the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (2019-2020) and was the Project Coordinator at Vasl Artists’ Association (2016-2020) in Karachi. Khan was also part of the curatorial team for the Glockenbach Biennale in July 2022 and curated the social media platform for the Denkraum Deutschland 2022, Pinakothek der Moderne.
